Re: a new whit?

After listening to the AIO clip again, I'm starting to get used to him, it wasn't as jarring as the first time. Actually, when he talks about Katie Leigh is when he sounds the most like Whit/Hal. As far as the Washingtons, they were OK but nothing great. I don't think any family will surpass the Bar...

Re: Welcome Home

The new one is horrible and the old one is not much better, but if someone put a gun to my head and said pick one, I'd have to pick the old version.

Another vote for The Great Wishy Woz. Absolutely horrendous.

Re: a new whit?

Dave, you brought a tear to me eye! You made some very good points and I do trust AIO and I'll listen regardless of who they get to play Whit because I love AIO. It may be difficult for a while but I'm sure I'll eventually get used to it. Now I listened to Andre's website clips and the Podcast clip ...

I missed the "new Whit" news as well and just finished reading the other thread to catch up. Here are my thoughts: Hal Smith will always be Whit to me. Paul did a fabulous job continuing the character (and I thank him very much for keeping the character alive) but for me there was always s...

Greater Love has always been my favorite (and saddest) episode. Hearing Tom break down at the end, P.D. living with that guilt all those years and comparing Timmy's sacrifice to Christ's in such a heart felt tone, man I'm starting to tear up as I write this!

I thought the wrap arounds were replaced with the "Odyssey Facts" segments, which are on the Gold Albums. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Man, what is up with all this Chris hatin'?? I love Chris and her voice. I hope she never leaves. By the way there are many episodes where her voice is solemn after a depressing episode. Back to the topic on hand, I voted "no". I didn't hate the intros but most were pretty silly and they d...

I've been away from this forum for quite awhile and I haven't read Passages so forgive me if it sounds like I don't know what I'm talking about. I agree with King Turtle, I can't imagine AIO giving the idea to young kids that when you die you might be able to go to a magical land instead of Heaven. ...

Wow Lizzie, that was so vivid! I actually felt like I was there through your eyes. Of course, actually BEING would have been a million times better! Envious can't even come close to describing how I feel towards you right now. You know, I'm 41 years old and have been listening to AIO for the past 17...

I guess there won't be a cd-rom attached to it? Remember when Nathan was asking for ideas and everyone wanted a cd-rom with all kinds of stuff on it? Are we ever going to get something like that?

I used to buy mine at Amazon but got tired of always getting cracked cases and broken cd hubs. I find myself buying them now at book stores so I can inspect them. It costs a little more but worth it.

I'll agree with Laurie again, The Great Wishy Woz was/is terrible. I have yet to be able to pay attention through the whole thing. It's just boring and lame and everything inbetween. The funny thing is, The Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie of all time (well sometimes Vertigo is depending on my mood...

I have the first AIO guide as well. I'm really happy that they will focus more on behind the scenes info than story summaries. I'm curious as to how thick this new guide is going to be.

Not really, the inserts have all the fun facts about the episodes which I really enjoyed. I would like to have them for all the albums. This is why I compare it to dvds. I'll give you a couple of examples: I have 2 copies of Field Of Dreams, the second version had additional special features but did...

Alright this really bugs me. I have every album so far. There is NO WAY I'm going to double dip just to get the insert even though the completest in me is SCREAMING to do it. I would love to have those inserts but my wife would never let me re-buy them all. Would it be possible for people who alread...
