20: A Journey of Choices

Use this thread to comment on the information regarding the twentieth album of Adventures in Odyssey! \:D/ This section starts on page 225.

Page 228 – “Cut Scenes” – how thoughtful of Regis to send his brother a note! That would have been an interesting addition, though maybe it’s better to have not heard from Dr. Blackgaard at this point. It’s probably more dramatic to hear from him a few albums from now after a longer break.

Page 230 – misplacement on the historical episodes chart – “The writing of ‘Amazing Grace’ (1750-1772)” is placed between “The War of 1812 (1812)” and “The Underground Railroad (1850).” The rest of events are in order by the year in which they occur, other than this misplaced one. According to the timeline on my CD case of FOTF’s Radio Theatre version of John Newton’s life (“Grace Abounding: The Story of John Newton”) “Amazing Grace,” among other hymns, was published in 1779, though it seems that it was written earlier and over a period of time. I listened to the story a while ago so I don’t recall all the details, but I’m assuming that the date is accurate but it’s just the placement on the chart that’s the problem.

Also, “Reverend George Muller (1845)” is misplaced – it’s between “Abraham Lincoln (1865)” and “The writing of ‘It Is Well’ (1873)” instead of a few spots further up where it belongs.

Page 231 – It’s good that they tell you which one is Gary Locke – I’ll have to try to find him in more illustrations! It’s the next best thing to “Where’s Waldo?” ;) Hey, they should hide a picture of Janet Waldo somewhere.

Official KODY review

Page 228: I wonder how, respectfully, anyone can derive 4% of Earth's atmosphere as one substance. Oxygen comprises approximately 21% of the atmosphere, with other gasses and substances comprising approximately 1%. The number four never appears in there at all.

Page 229: Marshal Younger shouldn't have let Katie Leigh confront him about Connie. He's the writer, and she's the actor. She is supposed to perform how he writes. JK

It's great to see actors involved in their characters. That means this show means something to them!

Page 230: I was wracking my brain trying to figure out why 1845: "George Muller" was placed after 1865 in the chart. So I guess it was just a typo.

Page 231: I wonder how many other times Gary Locke has popped up in his own artwork.
