I'm definitely going to watch this movie. But if it's coming out in December in the States... well, it's going to be about a whole year before we get it in theaters in Japan. Not a comforting thought.

I wonder how much filming they've done so far...

So what exactly do they do during post-production?

>_< I've watched the trailer about a million times now and I'm still not tired of it. *sighs*

Post-production is process of editing and splicing the film together after acquiring the footage. After principal photography has finished capturing the raw video footage and audio elements have been captured, then the movie goes into post-production. Editing, titling, special effects insertion, image enhancement, audio mixing and other production work is typically done during post-production.

I'm not sure what the exact release date of the movie will be in Japan. Here's the link to Disney's Japanese site, if it helps any. I can't read much, but I noticed the 2006. :-k

March 2006. *dies* Why, oh why does it take so long for movies to play in Japanese theaters?

In addition to all the things mentioned by Trent, if they discover in post that they need more angles or a different take on something, they will have a pick-up shoot where they have the actors come back to re shoot several scenes.

Now that the movie's coming out, I'm so crazed about it again after I saw the trailer... It's better than I thought. :D And has gotten me absolutely nuts.

As Jill, you are confident, respectful, and a little bit bossy! You have an acquired taste for adventure, and love any challenge that you have to face.

Only for some of it. They built a huge studio for snow back in NZ, where they shot a ton of stuff. They found a way to make snow out of some sort of paper stuff.

Me wrote:Who is doing the digital FX for this. I know WETA Digital is doing some stuff, but didn't they say that Rythm and Hues is the main FX house? If so, then Massive will be used. They bought at least one liscense to it.
According to TheOneLion.net, the digital effects are being handled by Sony Imageworks and Rhythm & Hues.

Most definitely. I'm sure you noticed the screenshot (on the previous page) of the two "massive" armies facing each other. \:D/

Yup. Doesn't look too realistic at this point. I hope it's a temp render.

I'd be very surprised if that was a final, rendered shot. :noway: Seeing how it was part of the trailer, it mostly likely was a temp render.

Isn't WETA doing all of the props/sets/whatever?

And yeah, I think they are going to make it better... Aslan still looked a bit stuffed in the trailer. But not really so if they don't change him, I've still got no problems with it... :p

WETA is only doing some of it this time around. I can't remember who they said was doing the rest.
