Hey, this thread is alive again!

Thanks Steve ;)

Ok, I just finished chapter 18 of DH, and am halfway done. My thoughts so far:

I am so proud of Neville. He has the guts to go with Ginny and Luna to steal the sword even though he faces risking Snape's evil punishments. I think he's getting a lot braver, and more of a true Gryffindor.

RON LEFT :x I am really upset with Ron right now. He was being a jerk.

I'm glad we finally got the exact flashback into the death of the Potters. Very interesting to read. I was very upset when his wand broke.

OK, did anybody else find it eerie when the Snake came out of Bagshot's neck? I was like woah...

So far it's a great book!

Like I said, Ronald Weasley is the worst.

Bagshot, not so much. I was sort-of expecting something by that point.

Not sure any of you will find this interesting, but there is a wizard rock tour that will be occurring featuring a bunch of bands. Here is there kick-starter page which has links to all their shows.

Edit: I forgot the link http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/159 ... k-festival

Ron is one of my favorite characters. But I also get mad at him sometimes.

I finished the Deathly Hallows- I cried when Dobby died :(

My overall thoughts:

THIS. BOOK. WAS. AMAZING. Now my favorite book of the series. the intensity was really on a new level. The plot was amazing, an I never was bored with it. I now own the paperback U.S. editions of OotP, HBP and DH. My top 6 favorite characters: (in no order)

Dobby,
Kingsley Shacklebolt
Fred Weasley
Ron Weasley
Minerva Mcgonagall
Kreecher

EDIT: New poll! Vote for you least favorite Harry Potter book, and explain why below \:D/

HARRY POTTER IS EVIL AND SHOULD BE BURNED.
I'm still trying to revive the Harry Potter hate.

my least favorite is Prisoner of Azkaban. Reason: because it was a very slow read for me and it didn't really engage me that much. I only liked, maybe, one or two chapters. I like drama, adventure and romance and to me it didn't have much of any of those. :P Maybe it was because there was no fight against Voldemort. LOL.

My least favorite is Chamber of secrets. I think plot wise it was on par with the first one, but the first one was so new and so wonderful to read for the first time- I still love CoS but it's probably my least favorite.

I know own OotP HBP and DH. \:D/

Goblet of Fire. Because ugh. Second least favorite probably Chamber of Secrets... just because there has to be a #6 favorite.

It took me a minute of staring at the screen, rather confused, to figure out "ss" is Philosopher's Stone (Also you forgot to add Prisoner of Azkaban to the list).

@Darcie - Why don't you like Goblet of Fire?

Oh, sorry. "Ugh" had a slumping body movement with it that obviously wasn't conveyed in typing those three letters. ;) It's just... heavy. And less than fun. And really long. And something has to be the #7 favorite.

-needs to join Pottermore-

I don't dislike any one of the books, but GoF is kind of a plod-through book at times (mainly when Harry's talking about Cho, whom I find to be annoying), and OotP can also get annoying due to CAPSLOCK!HARRY's constant raging.

this is related to Harry Potter, I watched the Very Potter Musical on youtube yesterday; it was funny, kinda inappropriate at times, but I still laughed.

I want to read the books again \:D/

You should read the books again Shennifer :x

I am rewatching all the movies and all of the books and Deathly Hallows is my favorite book, and putting aside the DH Movies, the OotP Is my favorite film. I know i'm in the minority here, but there's just something about that movie that I like. Yates if my favorite directer for the HP Series.

I like the OoP film! The music is fantastic, especially the march style one and the Umbridge theme one. Best new music since the first. Love the twins hijinks with the fireworks, although it's too bad there was no swampy corridor. And the new regulations being nailed up every other scene... I would have a hard time deciding between this and PoA for favorite movie. I adore the clock imagery foreshadowing that wasn't in the book and got worked into the movie, but I've said that before.

This is all, of course, favorites not counting the first. Seeing the world for the first time and the moving staircases and all of it... totally can't be matched. It has to be in a class by itself, like you're setting aside the Deathly Hallows movies. \:D/

I love the music in these movies! "Fireworks" is an amazing track; I also really like "The Knight Bus", "Do The Hippogriff", "Professor Umbridge", "Dumbledore's Army", "Ron's Victory", "In Noctem", "Flight Of The Order Of The Phoenix", "The Weasley Stomp", "Courtyard Apocalypse", "A New Beginning", and "Leaving Hogwarts". Matter of fact, the entire soundtrack just does it for me. \:D/

On a different note, I'm replaying LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and I LOVE IT. :inlove: I'm supposed to be working on homework, though... :(

My kids are replaying it right now too! OK, not right now, but they did ask. I was broken, but got it resurfaced at a local record store a few weeks ago.
