If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

I drink Ginger tea, but it burns my mouth and throat too much. I've never found it to do much good for my nausea. Chamomile works much better. Or eating whatever I'm craving-- especially if I'm craving Mexican, which seems to be happening a lot lately.

It's a weird looking vegetable - I work at a grocery store, so I see it now and then. PLU 4612, if anybody cares, other than me. ;) Here's a link with a picture, for those who might have a better idea of what it is if they see it.

Crystallized ginger is much less pungent (not that that means much) and helps majorly with sick stomachs. So, to a lesser extent, do Saltines. If anyone cared.

anytime I think I might be coming down with a cold or something, I put a bit of water in a cup and then turn the Cayenne Pepper shaker upside down over it... :anxious:

and then I drink it \:D/

Yuck!
Has anyone else here used Cold-eeze before? (zinc is another name for it)
My family has. It's supposed to cut the time of a cold in half.

I'd choose Cold-Eeze over Cayenne pepper any day. :xx:
And that's saying a lot, because I don't like the taste of Cold-Eeze.

Yeah, it's effective but the taste is absolutely awful... I get colds a ton, but have only used it once or twice. :/

My mom really likes Cold-Eeze, but I absolutely can't stand them. The taste is awful...and they makes me nauseous.
