What comes in and out of a camera

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Is/was that first photo a waterfall?

I.. think. This was the first time I'd been there, but I think it's a waterfall.

Also, this is what the top looks like. It's an overhanging rock face that has lots of icicles on it (it's known as the ice rocks..).

Pretty nice. It's got kind of a Yellowstone-ish feel to it with the trees above.

The light is beautiful in your grass photo, Smaug! I love scenic photos like that.

Here's a recent photo which is technically "winter" as well. I had to do a significant amount of filtering to try to re-create the original lighting (my camera had a tendency to over-expose in low light situations) :(

EDIT: Here's another that I dredged up from that same day:

I don't know exactly where you live, so I don't know. ;) It looks similar to Hocking Hills... but maybe all of southern Ohio looks that way...? But awesome pictures, regardless of the location! I love your pictures - you definitely have an eye.

It's about 60 miles north of Hocking Hills. Probably looks fairly similar. (I live pretty close to Mount Vernon, if you know where that is.)
