Sorry, the other one got away from me. These are some very good observations. I personally like the animal stories as I have a playlist called All God's Creatures, but the way some of them have ended was kind of lame, even for the target audience I think. I have listened again to the previous 'transition' after the first hiatus. I was not a regular listener then but came to it by way of the CD's and I didn't even notice there was a gap or any major changes really. Only in retrospect when I read the 'Official Guide'. The new kids just sort of appeared and fit right in. I agree that having 'pairs' of kids together often in the same episode is a good way to get to know them. And while I usually agree that 6 kids is too much, Chores No More (with many kids) is one of my favorites. I can tell the difference in the voices of the new kids, but just can't keep track of which voice belongs to which kid, maybe because the stories haven't been keeping my attention. Usually I listen while cooking or doing the dishes.Samitude wrote: Please, NO MORE ANIMALS! Is that a personal joke with the Odyssey team to see how many stories they can get by with that include animals? I think the stories in upcoming episodes could be more like the old ones that we in our twenties (almost thirty) have grown up with if the episodes would be limited to one or two child characters per episode. So many of the recent episodes have crammed six children in one episode. Their voices aren't recognisable so one loses track easily. If you think back to the old Odyssey days you had these parings: Jimmy and Donna, Donna and Jessie, Curt and Lucy, Lucy and Isaac, Robin and Melanie, Robin and Oscar, Jimmy and Curt. We were able to concentrate on the storyline and get to know the character's personality at the same time. When did we have the last Imagination Station episode or have the children come into Whit's End to get advice and council? Anyway these are some of my thoughts.

They need Marshal to write an episode like "The Black Veil" to get back in the swing of things. That's one of my favorite episodes.
he/him | a little stinker.

Oooh yeah, I LOVE that one! When Sam says "The disease will DESTROY US ALL!!!" at the end of Part 1, it sends shivers up and down my spine.

I never got into the whole Novacom storyline, but absolutely love Darkness Before Dawn, that's why the Green Ring Conspiracy has raised such high hopes. For me, this is a make it or break it album for the new series.

"And the Lord saw that man had created the Internet, and He was most distressed. For once people started using chatspeak and improper grammar, their level of smartness was decreased by more than 500%. And so the Lord removed all the gifts he had once bestowed on man, and it was very sad." The Book of Marvin, Chapter 351, Verse 442.

I WAS RIGHT!!!
Ahem. Sorry abou that. I did indeed guess correctly on our old friend. I had someone else entirely in mind until earlier today, when I heard the previews on CBD. But I am ecstactic to hear our good friend Mr. X again! It sounds like he's in some kind of trouble, though. Hopefully Whit will be able to help him.

I'm glad to hear from our old friend Mr. X, but wasn't aware that fans keep asking for him to return. Is it him or someone else that fans keep asking about?

Okay, I'm missing something. Who is Mr. X? I'm assuming we're not talking about Mr. X from The X-Files, right?
Um, I guess this is where I'm supposed to say something funny or interesting.

I am up on AIO, but I've never heard of this guy, except when referring to Mr. Charles before we learned what his name was.
Those of us who have listened to the first episode of The Green Ring Conspiracy on the Podcast website at whitsend.org call one of the plane crash people Mr. X. We do this because we don't want to spoil it for anyone by telling his name. If you have been following this thread along with the Green Ring Conspiracy theory thread then you probably have already heard who the returning people are and can guess who this mysterious plane occupant is.
